IP68 vision sensor for harsh industrial environments

Banner Engineering has now introduced a small, compact and versatile vision sensor with an IP68-rated seal to ensure reliable performance in humid and harsh environments. The new IP68 PLUS Pro II waterproof camera is the only camera in its class that can be mounted separately on a din track mounted controller. The controller can be placed away from harsh environments, resulting in a significantly smaller camera and integrated light than similar products. At the same time, it also ensures that the hardware and the prepared program are protected when the camera is damaged. Banner Engineering's new PresencePLUS Pro II waterproof camera features a full range of visual sensing capabilities in wet and harsh environments.

This rugged camera is designed specifically for harsh industrial environments, including automotive painting and assembly, metal stamping, injection molding and other locations. It can also be used for bottled and food packaging equipment. Its functions include 360° non-fixed inspection, error proofing, assembly verification, pattern recognition, flaw detection, direction confirmation, level detection and other applications. 2D and 1D barcode reading functions are also available.

All features of the new Pro II system from Banner Engineering Inc. are included in the IP68 model. These features include a variety of location, vision, and analysis tools; faster image capture and processing speed. This model has up to 1.3 million pixels of resolution, grayscale or color digital imaging. All models have Active X utilities and can be directly connected to industry-standard Ethernet for easy output of inspection data and export of images. At the same time with a variety of C-mount lenses to meet a variety of different vision and distance requirements. The user can choose to use an integrated light with highlight, flash or continuous LED illumination using infrared, red, blue, green or white light.

The intuitive and easy PresencePLUS software allows users to quickly set up with a simple click operation. The remote teaching function can be quickly configured. Connectable networks include 10/100 Ethernet, serial, IP, and Modbus TCP industrial networks.
