Industrial Automation and Control Network Experimental Platform

Function and Role Introduction

Industrial control networks have emerged as a vital technology in the field of automation, combining computer science, communication systems, and control engineering. These networks are primarily based on technologies such as fieldbus and industrial Ethernet, enabling efficient and reliable communication between devices in industrial environments.

To enhance students' understanding of industrial control networks, this experimental platform provides hands-on experience with advanced industrial control equipment. It helps students grasp the principles and operational mechanisms of fieldbuses, preparing them to tackle real-world engineering challenges upon entering the workforce. The system simulates real industrial scenarios, establishing master-slave communication via PROFIBUS and industrial Ethernet, while enabling real-time data acquisition and remote monitoring of various sensors.

This platform is designed to support a range of courses, including Fieldbus Technology, Industrial Automation and Control Networks, Distributed Control Systems, Industrial Automation System Curriculum Design, and Process Control. It serves as a valuable tool for both theoretical learning and practical application, bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and industry needs.
