Function and Role Introduction

Introduction

Industrial control networks have become a vital part of modern automation systems. They combine computer technology, communication techniques, and automatic control to create efficient and reliable systems for industrial environments. Key components include fieldbus technology and industrial Ethernet, which enable real-time data exchange and system coordination.

To help students in our automation program gain hands-on experience with advanced industrial control equipment, we have developed a comprehensive experimental platform. This system is designed to deepen students' understanding of industrial control networks by allowing them to interact directly with real-world technologies. Through this platform, students can explore the principles and operational mechanisms of fieldbuses, such as PROFIBUS, and learn how to implement master-slave communication systems.

The platform also supports real-time data acquisition from various sensors and remote monitoring, simulating actual industrial conditions. It serves as an essential tool for courses like Fieldbus Technology, Industrial Automation and Control Networks, Distributed Control Systems, Industrial Automation System Curriculum Design, and Process Control. By working with this system, students are better prepared to tackle real-world engineering challenges upon graduation.
