Common faults and causes of ultracentrifuge

1. Drive system failure

(1) When the rotating speed of the rotating head is greater than 3000r/min, the vibration of the machine is large:

1 When the rotor is installed, the operation is not proper and the rotor is not installed correctly. 2 The rotating part is not leveled. 3 Rotating shaft is bent.

4 The transmission is not properly installed.

(2) An abnormal sound occurs in the drive section

cause:

1 It is not suitable to use the rotor. 2 The oil delivery pipe is blocked and the lubrication is not good. 3 The gear unit is not properly installed. 4 drive motor failure (carbon brush wear, damage to electrical components, loose shaft coupling).

(3) Lubricating oil leaks into the rotor room

cause:

1 oil delivery line leaks. 2 The damage of the fuel tank components causes a vacuum difference, which makes the lubricating oil flow poorly.

(4) smelling abnormal smell

1 The gearbox oil leaks into the motor, and the motor rotates at a high speed to raise the temperature of the oil. 2 bearing deformation caused excessive friction.

The failure of the drive system is mostly mechanical failure, which is mostly caused by improper assembly, poor lubrication, blockage or leakage of the pipeline. The repair of such faults mainly involves adjusting the assembly position, cleaning the bearings, dredging the pipeline, and replacing the damaged components. And other methods.

2. Vacuum system failure

(1) The vacuum gauge pointer does not move

cause:

1 The connection line of the vacuum gauge is broken. 2 circuit is broken. 3 The vacuum gauge pointer is stuck or the parts in the watch are damaged.

(2) The vacuum pump cannot be started

cause:

1 The vacuum pump circuit is open (the connector is loose or the component is damaged). 2 vacuum pump motor failure (short circuit, damp). 3 drive belt failure (loose, slip, wipe the coupling and shaft off). 4 The temperature in the rotor room is too low. The viscosity of the vacuum pump oil is increased, making it difficult to start the motor. 5 The vacuum pump is not used for a long time (rust).

(3) The vacuum gauge pointer can be offset. But the vacuum difference

cause:

1 The performance of the vacuum tube of the vacuum gauge is reduced, the filament of the vacuum tube is red, hot or the needle is too offset and unstable. 2 The centrifuge door gasket leaks due to aging of the gasket or dirt. 3 The vacuum system is leaking at the pipe joint. 4 The piping of the vacuum system is old. 5 The vacuum pump has insufficient oil or there is moisture in the vacuum pump, and the oil deteriorates. After long-term operation, the water will enter the vacuum pump, causing the pump oil to deteriorate, so the life of the pump is shortened. The height of the 6-drive part is not suitable, and air is leaked at the joint between the drive part and the vacuum chamber, and its height is correctly adjusted due to the inappropriate height of the drive part. 7 The connection between the driving part and the vacuum (corrugated pipe) leaks. The coupling is deformed or damaged by the bellows. Damage to the 8-axis box components: The rotor shaft bushing wears a lot and the fuel consumption increases, thus reducing the vacuum. There are frost and water droplets in the 9-turn head. The vacuum is affected and should be baked. If there is still moisture after baking, dry it with gauze. 10 The diffusion pump oil is insufficient, it should be refueled; the oil discharge pump leaks on the day, and there are many bubbles on the vacuum side of the oil discharge pump.

(4) Vacuum pump oil leakage

cause:

1 valve oil leakage (oil drain door leaking oil). 2The pump oil is too much, and sometimes the oil will splash from the oil trap. 3 The oil seal gasket is worn, the gasket is aging, and the shaft or gasket of the pulley leaks oil.

3. Failure of the cooling system

(1) The freezer does not start

cause:

1 circuit is broken. 2 Freezer mechanical failure (cylinder, deformation).

(2) The freezer stops shortly after starting

cause:

1 voltage drops. 2 The harsh working environment, the room temperature is too high or the instrument is poorly ventilated, and the motor protector of the freezer will stop the freezer. 3 The refrigeration cycle pipe is flattened, there is moisture in the refrigeration cycle, and the starter relay of the freezer is faulty.

(3) The freezer is running but the rotor cannot be cooled

cause:

1 vacuum difference. 2 The refrigerant is leaked from the refrigeration cycle system. 3 The refrigeration cycle system is dirty.

(4) The thermometer indicates that the temperature is lower than the set temperature

cause:

1 circuit. If the freezer switch is turned off or the temperature control knob is turned off, the freezer does not stop and the circuit is faulty. 2 The parts in the thermometer are not working properly.

(5) The temperature of the rotor is lower than the temperature indicated by the thermometer

cause:

1 Axle box part (drive part) is not working properly. 2 The temperature gauge adjustment is not suitable.

4. Failure of the oil delivery pipe

The oil indicator does not light after about 10 seconds after the power is turned on.

cause:

1 The control circuit is faulty and the oil in the oil bottle is not full. 2 The oil pump is not normal. After the power is turned on, the oil pump does not work or the pump works but does not spray oil. 3 The filter is clogged. 4 pipe joints are misplaced. 5 The oil stop detector is not working properly.
