On July 25th, the third day of the Asia Outdoor Exhibition, the night sky above Purple Mountain in Nanjing was once again illuminated with excitement! YES! The Nordland Purple Mountain Fluorescence Run, organized by the Asia Outdoor Exhibition and Sanfu Outdoor Co., Ltd., took place as scheduled. This marks the third consecutive year of this unique event, drawing more and more running enthusiasts from around the globe to participate in the country’s biggest night race. Over a thousand runners showed up, all dressed in NORTHLAND gear—comfortable and quick-drying running T-shirts that kept them cool during the evening run. Each participant also received a glowing wristband and a timing chip, essential for the “fluorescent” experience. The atmosphere was electric as runners gathered, warming up and taking photos before the start. Some were a bit nervous, but the energy in the air was undeniable. As they hit the track, everyone became the happiest person in their own world, surrounded by light, music, and the joy of movement. The event wasn’t just about the run—it was a full experience. After crossing the finish line, participants were treated to cold drinks, a live rock concert, and a special moment when the “big sacred” award was presented. Among the highlights was the “smart” 2015 fluorescent running medal, a memorable keepsake for every runner. As the summer night stretched on, it was clear that the spirit of the event had touched everyone involved. The organizers and participants alike are excited about the future of the event and hope to see even more people join in next year.
