When the era of mobile phone printing is now in progress

Analysts at RBC's Capital Markets Research Firm expect that sales of global handsets will surpass PC sales at the end of 2011. By that time, the number of smart phones we purchase each year will exceed 400 million units. Today's mobile phones have become more and more intelligent. From the traditional printing we discussed to the network printing, we have gradually transferred Internet devices to mobile phones.

In 2011, three software services released software that could be applied to mobile phone printing. One is EFI Print Me; the other is Konica Minolta's Page Scope Mobile; and the third is Kodak's Pic Flick. They are all symbolic and heralding the arrival of the era of mobile phone printing.

In April 2011, EFI released a mobile version of Print Me that can provide wireless printing for electronic devices such as mobile phones and tablet computers. Just one month later, Konica Minolta launched a free mobile phone printing software Page Scope Mobile for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users. In July of the same year, Kodak also released the Android mobile phone app Pic Pick and released it at the same time. iOS and Blackberry are two versions.

In only half a year's time, several major printing software service companies have been rushing toward a field in such a rush, which is a clear signal.

However, for now, wireless printing still faces many problems. The incompatibility of product drivers and print languages between OA vendors makes it impossible for us to expect an app application that can eat all kinds of printers. In terms of ease of use, whether it is cloud printing or LAN wireless printing, it is obviously not as convenient as direct printing, card insertion, and USB flash disk printing.

Why is the era of mobile phone printing now coming? Because of the rapid development of the printing industry, the traditional printing model has been greatly challenged. With the popularization of new technologies, digital printing and network printing are now constantly impacting traditional printing, and the deadliest of them are more time-saving, resource, and cost-saving. What is more emphasized in the modern era is speed, efficiency and flexibility.

Although the technology still needs to be improved, but if we emphasize fast, efficient and flexible, which one can do the same with the mobile phone?

If traditional offset printing is the representative of the past, and digital and online printing are the new stars nowadays, can mobile phone printing be one of many trends in the future? If this is the case, then can we say that the era of mobile phone printing has come quietly!

In an interview with professional print media in the US, founder and president Tom McDermit of the shootit! company in 2009 stated that shootit! is a postcard information editing software for smartphones such as the iPhone and BlackBerry. It allows users to take pictures, create personal information, and send this information as a true postcard to all parts of the world. Whether you are sailing on a yacht, spending vacations on the Florida coast, enjoying the beauty of autumn in Vermont, attending a moving wedding or sitting in the stands and enjoying an intense sports game, you can shootit! with your friends and family. Share these wonderful moments.

In April 2011, EFI released Print Me, a software service that can provide wireless printing for electronic devices such as mobile phones and tablet computers, and a mobile version of Print Me, designed to solve the tedious and complicated printing problems of electronic devices such as mobile phones and tablet PCs. The mobile version of PrintMe extends this feature to a range of mobile devices, making it possible to print documents anywhere, anytime.
