How to get on and off the horse

dismount

The correct action of getting on and off the horse will not harm or frighten the horse while ensuring the safety of the rider. Whether it is a start or a dismount, the horses should be brought to the center of the riding ground first, not at the gate or in the stable, to prevent the horses from escaping or forming a bad conditional reflex.

The first step in and out of the horse is to check the length of the ankle. Usually, the length of one's arm is equal to the length of the proper ankle, which is about the distance from one's armpit to the tip of the finger.

Launched action decomposition:

1. The rider is standing on the left side of the horse and facing the horsetail. The left hand grasps the bridle and the front saddle bridge (or small belt), and the right hand turns the side of the ankle towards the outside;
2. The left foot (forefoot) steps into the ankle, and the right hand holds it on the saddle bridge. The left foot pulls up one by one, and carefully crosses the right leg across the saddle. Be careful not to kick the horse.
3. After crossing, sit lightly on the saddle, put the right foot into the right ankle, and hold the bridle with both hands.

The act of dismounting is in fact turning the action of the horse up:

1. Hold the handcuffs in the left hand and hold the front saddle bridge. The right arm is attached to the horse's neck and the feet are dislocated;
2. The body leans down slightly facing the saddle while carefully crossing the horse's back with his right leg and allowing himself to slow down to the ground.

Holding the action:

One end of the reins is held between the ring finger and the little finger, and the other end is wound between the thumb and forefinger. The thumb presses the reins lightly on the index finger to fix the position; the length of the left and right hand grasping remains the same, and the boxing heart is opposite. Instead of facing down, relax your wrists. At this time, it should be a straight line from the horse's mouth, reins, rider's hand to elbow. (Figure)
