Ke Ruiwei's citation data and analysis can predict research hotspots

In its May issue, published May 25, Times Higher Education highlights 19 current research hotspots that are likely to change the world. These research hotspots are based on analysis of Web of Science citation data and Essential Science IndicatorsSM (ESI, basic scientific indicators) from Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters Intellectual Property and Technology).

In the May issue of the "Next Big Bang" special study report, Times Higher Education selected the Web of Science citation data to conduct an objective analysis of today's scientific research. The special issue of the May issue of Times Higher Education focuses on the research frontiers that have recently been published and have been cited no less than 200 times so far, and selected 19 key concerns with broader scientific significance and application potential.
