3D printing helps Airbus complete new wiper system production

Airbus uses RepRap's X4003D printer, which is widely used in automotive, medical, aerospace, construction and other fields. This has played a vital role in the production of Airbus wiper systems.

“The finalization of the new wiper requires a lot of functional testing, and the rapid iteration of 3D printing and short production cycles can be used for this process,” said Frank Singer, Engineering Manager of Airbus Helicopter. "If you don't have 3D printing, these lots of tests will require more time and money."

The X400 greatly reduces the development cost. When a 3D model is built, use the X400 to quickly print out, you can test some functions. If it is not suitable, modify the model, continue printing, and continue testing until there is satisfactory results.
