At present, everyone is undoubtedly two ways to clean laboratory instruments, one is to find a manufacturer, and the other is to purchase detergents, such as: soap, soap liquid (special product), washing powder, decontamination powder, lotion , Organic solvents, etc. However, it was difficult to achieve the desired results when careful selection was made for cleaning. It turned out that in July of this year, when the school was near the summer vacation, the school laboratory cleaned a batch of laboratory precision glass instruments that have been used for a long time but have never been cleaned. Through the above events, we should pay attention to the use methods and requirements of laboratory glass instruments.

1. General glass instruments (such as flasks, beakers, etc.): first rinse with tap water, then scrub with soap and washing powder with a brush, then rinse with tap water, and finally rinse with purified water 3 times (should be washed along the wall and fully Shock to improve the flushing effect).

Measuring glass instruments (such as burettes, pipettes, measuring bottles, etc.): It can also be washed with soap and washing powder, but not with a brush.

2. Precision or difficult-to-wash glass instruments (burettes, pipettes, measuring flasks, colorimetric tubes, glass vertical melting funnels, etc.): first rinse with tap water, drain, and then treat with chromic acid cleaning solution for a period of time (generally Leave overnight), then rinse with tap water, and finally rinse with purified water 3 times.

3. When washing the instrument, wash your hands with soap first, so as to prevent the oily dirt on your hands from adhering to the instrument wall, increasing the difficulty of washing.

4. A cleaned glass instrument should be free of water droplets (when the cleaned instrument is turned upside down, the water flows out of the rear wall without water droplets).

Glass drying

(1) Drying: Instruments that are not in a hurry can be placed on the instrument rack and naturally dried in a dust-free place.

(2) The instruments for urgent use can be dried with a glass instrument air dryer (the temperature is preferably between 60 and 70 ° C).

(3) The metering glass instrument should be drained naturally and cannot be baked in an oven.

At the same time, the storage of glass instruments: it should be stored in the test cabinet in different categories, and it should be placed securely, and high and large instruments should be placed inside. Grinding instruments that need to be stored for a long time should be placed on a piece of paper between the plugs to avoid sticking for a long time.
