Students from Kuching University of Technology in Malaysia won the 2016 “Old Innovation” contest with recycled printer ink made from used cooking oil.

Because the ink production cost is extremely low, these students sell 50 ml of ink per bottle to their classmates at a price of 20 ringgit (about 4.78 US dollars), which is lower than the market price of ordinary inkjet printer ink. 70%.
