Explaining stove fuels Read more>>

a) Liquid Fuel

White oil (White Gas)

White oil is the most ideal fuel for field stoves. The main use of white oil in the industry is as a solvent and detergent. Therefore, it does not contain any impurities. The components are purest and no residue will clog the nozzle. In addition, its high heat output and low volatility make it safer and can be bought in hardware stores in Hong Kong and advanced countries.

Automotive petrol (Automobile Gasoline)

Automotive electric oil is the most easily available fuel in the world, but because it is formulated for automotive engines, it contains a lot of impurities and can easily clog the nozzle. Can not be used without white oil. In addition, automotive oils are highly volatile and will release more toxic gases after combustion.

Aviation Gasoline AV Gas

This means that the piston of the engine with a gasoline engine, the fuel injector instead (see below). It is a fuel that has a higher degree of combustion than a car's fuel and is also more volatile, unless all of the fuel is available.

Thinner

Is a very volatile fuel, burning speed is very fast, accidentally handled when it is easy to cause gas explosion, try not to use.

Fire Water (Kerosene Kerosene)

Fire water is also a common fuel in the world, especially in backward areas. Many people still use fire water as their main fuel. However, the burning of fire and water is low, requiring a longer warm-up time, and it is not easy to ignite in cold winter or low pressure areas. In addition, the fire water contains a lot of impurities, it is easy to plug the nozzle and leave carbon residue on the bottom of the cookware. Fires and waters sold in backward areas will contain more impurities.

Oil residue (diesel Diesel)

It is the heaviest type of all kinds of fuels. It contains relatively most impurities and is also the most difficult to ignite. Do not use it if it is not necessary.

Jet Fuel (Jet Fuel - JetA, JP-5, JP-8)

Jet fuel is actually a pure, high-quality firewater. In countries that are behind the border, if you cannot buy white fuel, you cannot try to find jet fuel at the airport petrol station.

b) Gas fuel

Butane gas (Butane)

Butane gas is a lighter type of natural gas, and the output of firepower is also lower. Because it requires less pressure when entering the tank, the gas tank can be made lighter and thinner, and the price is cheaper. However, due to its low pressure in the tank, the output of firepower will be greatly reduced at the plateau or at low temperatures. For household fire boilers, butane gas is used.

Propane

Propane gas belongs to heavier natural gas and its fire output is also higher, but because it requires a lot of pressure when it enters the tank, the gas tank must be made heavy and strong. Because of its heavy weight, it is not suitable for people using hiking and camping. At present, only large-scale burners for car camping can be equipped with 100% propane gas tanks.

Butane/propane gas tank

Due to the advantages and disadvantages of butane and propane gas, in order to achieve the highest output and the gas tank will not be too heavy, a butane propane gas tank will be available. Gas tanks mixed with propane have strong firepower output and are not too heavy. They also perform quite well on plateaus and snow. Mixing ratios vary among manufacturers. The more propane is mixed in, the more natural the fire output is, and the more expensive it is. This is why the LPG tanks for field stoves are much more expensive than those for domestic fire boilers.
