Inner coating developed using silicon oxide

Sweden's Spendrups Brewery has collaborated with Tetra Pak to develop GlaskinTM PET bottles. GlaskinTM covers the interior of the plastic bottle with a layer of silica-like material to effectively prevent oxygen from entering the bottle. The carbon dioxide in the beverage does not leak from the bottle. It has a good gas separation layer. The gas separation layer is tasteless and colorless, does not produce any chemical reaction with the beverage in the bottle, and can ensure the quality and taste of the beverage in the bottle. In addition, because the separation layer is in the bottle, it can avoid being damaged during transportation and storage, so that the product reaches the maximum shelf life.

With the GlaskinTM polyester plastic bottle packaging system, 6000-18,000 PET bottles with a capacity of 0.2 to 2 liters per hour can now be continuously coated. At the same time, it is also in line with the principle of environmental protection. In the process of recycling, the thin layer of silicon oxide will be separated from the polyester plastic bottle, and the polyester plastic can be reused as a new plastic bottle or artificial pile wool. Each GlaskinTM Polyester bottle weighs only 34g, reducing air pollution from the transport of heavy products.
